Expanding Access to CPR

EA CPR works to combat gender bias in CPR training. Our work focuses on implementation of comprehensive training curricula and increasing awareness around this massive disparity.

Education

EA CPR has worked to create a training curriculum that highlights both common gender biases in CPR administration and variations in cardiac arrest symptoms between sexes.

Expansion

Our goal is to connect with schools in Maine and around the country to spread awareness and implement longstanding solutions to this issue.

The PRoblem

According to the American Heart Association,

In public settings, only 39% of females receive CPR from bystanders when needed.
